Adult Socials – A Summer Crab Feasts, Wine Tasting, Holiday Dinner Parties and “Bunco” are just sample of events that this committee has organized. Members, spouses and friends are all welcome to share in the fun.
Annual Fundraiser – Organizing annual fundraiser for selected benefactor. Currently, we are planning on organizing a 5K run/walk and chairty auction combined with kids' fair in the spring
Book Club – Small groups of Moms get together monthly or bimonthly in members' homes to discuss a book of mutual interest.
Community Outreach – The GSPMC seeks to promote family involvement within the community. Activities range from collecting donations for our local food pantry to taking kids to visit residents at an assisted living facility. The Community Outreach Committee strives to enable the Mom's Club and its members to give back to the community in ways which can make a difference for everyone involved. This year we would like to focus on getting the children involved to help 'Save the Bay.'
Creative Cuisine - This is a monthly dinner group where couples take turns hosting dinner parties in their home for 8 to 10 people. The hostess plans the menu and distributes the recipes to the couples attending. Dinners are usually the second or third Saturday of the month. Twice a year, everyone gets together for a Kick Off and End of Year party.
Kid’s Crafts – Join Moms and kids as the kids create crafts designed for pre-schoolers. Crafts are scheduled every other month and a nominal fee is typically charged to cover costs.
Kid’s Socials - Join us at Halloween and Christmas Parties, as well as other special events during the year. All members and family are invited!
Kid’s Trips and Tours – Join us for a full schedule of outings during the year. Past trips included visits to Pumpkin Farms, Fire Stations and Christmas Shows at Buddy’s Crab & Ribs in Annapolis.
Mom’s Activities – All Moms need a break and this group endeavors to provide all our Moms with events that help them get out, meet friends and relax. From scrapbooking events, monthly outings and happy hours to creative crafts, this group has an escape planned just for you.
Monthly Coffees - Coffees are planned for Moms and kids. Each participant hosts a one time gathering of 5 to 8 Moms and enjoys the hospitality of the other participants the rest of the year. This is a great way to meet many Moms and kids over the course of the year!
Monthly Meeting and Planning Committee – With the oversight of the President, these two groups coordinate all aspect of the Monthly Meetings, including logistics, speakers, and food and entertainment. This committee drives the overall direction of the club.
New Member Events - New members are invited to both a Fall and Spring Cocktail Party to welcome new members.
Newsletter and Directory – You will receive a monthly newsletter with all upcoming events and member news. Each member will also receive a membership directory by the November meeting. A directory of professional services, compiled from the general membership, is included in the directory. This is a great way to offer services and find providers through our club.
Playgroups - Children of similar ages meet in a small group setting weekly rotating among group members' homes (or alternate location such as the park, Ultimate Playzone, library, mall play area, etc.) Please note that all participants assigned to your group may not live in your immediate neighborhood.
Publicity – This group gets the word out about just how many fun and exciting events the GSPMC has to offer its members.
Sunshine – We are Moms volunteering to help other Moms! We provide meals or a show of support for Moms who are going through a joyous or stressful time.
Website – This committee oversees and works to improve the website of our club.
